Steve Young, is asking for a senatorial condemnation of the Republican Presidential candidate.

“There comes a point when people, or satirists, must take a stand, albeit one packed full of irony and farce,” said award-winning TV comedy writer, Steve Young. “And that time has come with John McCain’s latest campaign commercial, comparing Barack Obama with Paris Hilton and Brittany Spears. ”

As part of my media-culture thesis at the University of Levittown, I wanted to determine how much, if any, heavy doses of particular broadcasts affects the mental, emotional and physical health of the viewer or, in some cases, viewee.

That lead me to Bill O’Reilly. As an admitted liberal, card-carrying member of the ACLU and enthusiastic contributor to PETA, I knew I had to leave my beliefs and bias at door. On Sunday’s “Reliable Sources” with Howard Kurtz on CNN, Kurtz and his panel all agreed that  former Bush Press Secretary, Scott McClellan’s revelation that the Bush White House regularly sends “talking points” to the FoxNews Channel because “there were commentators and pundits who were useful to the White House,” was a non story.   They said it was a non-story since everyone gets talking points, even though McClellan confirmed that Bill O’Reilly was one who was sent the talking points.
