Lieberman Derides McCain’s War Time Service (Not A Satire)

This morning, I would think that every Viet Nam war vet, including John McCain, will be royally p-o’d with Joe Lieberman

Let your voices be heard as we take on the latest in political news in the country today!

IINO (Independent In Name Only) Leiberman, who likes to run with the well-spun Republican talking point that Barack Obama and Democrats who don’t vote for a continuation of a illegally-conceived war, were against the troops, clearly explained to the Republican convention how he really feels about those troops he helped send and keep there.

“When others wanted to retreat in defeat from the field of battle, when Barack Obama was voting to cut off funding for our troops on the ground, John McCain had the courage to

stand against the tide of public opinion and support the surge, and because of that, today, our troops are at last beginning to come home, not in failure, but in honor!”

Does it take a super patriot to understand that it is not the result of our heros’ efforts that makes their service honorable? Does not Joe Lieberman understand it is in their showing up for service that makes our troops’ very service honorable? Is Joe Lieberman so callous, so derisive of those who volunteer to place themselves in harm’s way, that only the result he demands makes their sacrifice honorable, at least to Joe.

Many conservatives speak to how we could have won in Viet Nam.  Moreso, they love to slam those they say spit on returning Viet Nam era troops.  I agree with them that spitting on our heros would have been and continues to be despicable.

Last night, Joe Lieberman spit on them again.

The short answer is that no, Joe Lieberman doesn’t seem to grasp the concept.

I served in Vietnam as an infantryman in 1968, the bloodiest year. I saw a lot of brothers killed and severely wounded for nothing. Knowing what I know now, I would have loved to see that scrawny piece of shit humping a ruck and taking point.
Lieberman is of the, “Let’s you and him fight” and is one sorry son of a bitch.

My Uncle, Charles Carroll Sales, “Snoopy”, was killed in a helicopter crash in Vietnam on June 25th, 1968 at the age of 19 after being drafted, something McSame is on record as supporting so as to continue his 100 Years War.

Joe Lieberman (I-Idiot) dodged the Vietnam War using student and parental deferments so in effect, my teenaged Uncle died in his place.

Joe Lieberman is a pig whether he wears lipstick or not.

Lieberman, Bush, Cheney, Limbaugh and all the other draft dodger chickenhawks who now never met a war they didn’t want other people to fight are just channeling the Republican Party’s hero John Wayne, a guy who dodged the draft in WWII so he could, in his words, better his career in Hollywood, and then pretend to be a macho war hero type poser. Republicans pretend to be tough guys and have made wrong foreign policy decisions every time. They were isolationists against the Nazis, Reagan killed 243 Marines, Bush 1 let 500,000 troops sit on their hands while Saddam Hussein brutally wiped out a Shia uprising in Basra that George Bush exhorted and then let get slaughtered, Bush 2 illegal invasion of Iraq. These people are shameless hypocrites.
