Obama Campaign Asking For Federal Prosecutor To Look Into Joe The Plumber
Charging that the FBI probe of ACORN represents an “unholy alliance” between Republican operatives and potentially illegal conduct by law enforcement targeting voter fraud, the Obama campaign demanded Friday that the U.S. special prosecutor look into the voter registration of Joe Wurzelbacher.
The Obama campaign claims that the alleged Toledo plumber, aka JoeThe Plumber, who became the hot topic of the last Presidential debate due to his rope-line confrontation with Barack Obama’s over the Democratic candidate’s tax plan, was not on the voter registration rolls in Ohio as Joe Wurzelbacher, but turned up later registered as Samuel Wurzelbacher.
Obama general counsel Bob Bauer sent a letter to Atty. Gen. Michael Mukasey charging that there seems to be a coordinated “misconduct” by McCain campaign representatives and GOP officials that were relevant to the special prosecutor’s work, because the activities may cause the election of a federal official (i.e. a president).
“I’m not even going to mention the relevations of a possible Keating 5 connection to Mr. Wurzelbacher,” said Wade. “But if I did, I would want to know why this so-called Joe who is a so-called plumber, is paling around with pals of banking thugs, who in this day and age would be considered financial terrorists. And if Senator McCain didn’t have the story of Mr. Wurzelbacher, if that his name, available at the debate, he wouldn’t have been able to respond to half of Bob Sheifer’s questions. If you think this Joe The Plumber collusion isn’t a far worse malfeasance than anything coming out of ACORN, you’re a nut who just fell out of a tree, as well as any other nut-referenced metaphors I can’t come up with right now.”
Developing.

Is this real or satire?
Nadine,
Read all headers and content…though in this election, who knows?

This is not funny! It is not journalism! It is not sourced! What is this?
R,
Journalism here? It’s like looking for journalism on O’Reilly.

I know your columns are usually just humor, but this sounds pretty plausible considering that Joe the Plumber seems about as real as Cindy McCain’s face.
Oh, nutz!
If acorns fall off oak trees, do walnuts fall off walls or is that just off-the-wall?
[...] “And even then, his last name was misspelled,” said Obama campaign spokesman, David Wade. “Tell me someone READ THE REST OF THE UNREAL BOMBSHELL STORY HERE [...]
Okay, okay, okay. Let’s just dial back the confusion for a bit. This is satire, people. It’s not journalism. It’s not meant to be journalism. It’s what is known colloquially as a “joke.” I realize that we’re in the midst of an increasingly brutal and facile campaign, but let’s not lose our sense of humor along with our jobs and houses.
See that? That last bit was a joke, too. Go ahead and laugh. You know you want to. It’s all right. I promise.
I would love to know of good ole Joe is related to one of the Keating Five who robbed the banks in the bank meltdown.
I personally think that Joe was planted to ask that question–however, the Joe tree is growing a little askew and we might not see the proper nut positioning itself squarely on the ground.
Joe–you should have gotten your license before you claimed to be a plumber.
He’s the son in law of Keating. That’s legitimately true.
For the satire challenged…of course, this is satire, spoofery, humor.
Any of you who want to see what a man who specializes in finding the humor in most things, and would like to see two of his deadly serious pieces … I’m sure if you asked, S.Y. would be glad to link you to his pieces on “2000 and Counting…” and the one he did on autism.
They were serious business, and it’s pretty easy to tell the difference.
joe the plumber had a legitimate question why would this campaign do a background check on a person just because of a question that i might add was a good one
i see your site runs like the obama campaign sensor all
no freedom of speech is what this campaign wants
