Despite the claims by the McCain Campaign that Barack Obama’s tax plan will increase taxes on all Americans, an Obama spokesman today said that even the $150,000 worth of clothes and make-up that the Republican National Committee has purchased for Sarah Palin and her family since her selection as John McCain’s running mate, would fall under the minimum revenue level for a tax increase.
“We realize that to some people, $150,000 worth of clothes would be considered exorbitant,” said an Obama spokesman. “But under the Obama plan, these clothes would be able to cost another $100K before they would pay more in taxes than under Bush’s tax plan. Our plan delivers broad-based tax relief to middle class families and candidates unable to spend $250K on clothes and hair,” said Obama spokesman, David Wade. “But it goes further than Palin.
