Under Obama’s Tax Plan Palin’s Clothes Would Receive A Tax Cut ( The Real* Story)

Despite the claims by the McCain Campaign that Barack Obama’s tax plan will increase taxes on all Americans, an Obama spokesman today said that even the $150,000 worth of clothes and make-up that the Republican National Committee has purchased for Sarah Palin and her family since her selection as John McCain’s running mate, would fall under the minimum revenue level for a tax increase.

“We realize that to some people, $150,000 worth of clothes would be considered exorbitant,” said an Obama spokesman.  “But under the Obama plan, these clothes would be able to cost another $100K before they would pay more in taxes than under Bush’s tax plan.  Our plan delivers broad-based tax relief to middle class families and candidates unable to spend $250K on clothes and hair,” said Obama spokesman, David Wade. “But it goes further than Palin. Without our plan, small business owners and real Americans like Tina Fey would not be able to pay for the clothes they need to continue parodying Palin.  With Barack Obama as President, one day even Joe The Plumber might be able to afford to buy Palin’s clothes.”

McCain spokesman, Tucker Bounds, defended the expenditure under the “need to clothe” tax law.  “I don’t know if you’ve ever gone moose hunting,” said Bounds, “But you cannot get the stench out of a parka no matter how far away you are from the gut splatter.”

In an attempt to combat the revelation of the “sorta free” clothes, Palin contended that she charged Alaska less than $21,000 for flights and hotels for her children to travel to events including watching their father in a snowmachine race. “And here’s where the Obama campaign isn’t on the right snowmobile trail,” explained Palin, “While my kids were not actually invited to some of these events, I later amended the expense reports to specify that they were on official business.”

“How’s that for showing I’m ready for higher office,” Palin added.

Wade claimed the typical middle class family will receive well over $1,000 in tax relief under the Obama plan.

In other news, John Edwards has offered to show Palin where to get hair cuts under $1,000.
